Johnstone’s Trade Soft Sheen is a water-based mid-sheen emulsion for interior walls and ceilings. It is wipe clean, humidity resistant and offers a softer look than silk.
Johnstone's Trade Soft Sheen is a mid-sheen interior emulsion developed for walls and ceilings where you want more washability than matt without the brighter reflectivity of silk.
It withstands normal levels of humidity, can be wiped clean and gives good opacity and coverage, making it a practical option for busy domestic interiors.

Preparation
- Make sure surfaces are clean, dry and sound before decorating.
- Remove loose or flaking material and sand glossy areas to provide a key.
- Fill cracks or defects, then dust down before applying paint.
- Use the correct primer or undercoat where the surface or product data sheet requires it.
Application
- Stir thoroughly before use and follow the product label or data sheet.
- Apply evenly using the recommended brush, roller or spray method for the product.
- Allow suitable drying time between coats, especially in cold or humid conditions.
- Approximate coverage: 13 m2 per litre.
