Acrylic Floor Paint can be applied to concrete, wood, tarmac, asphalt and metal, but the surface must be clean, dry and free of oil, grease, dust and loose material. Previously painted surfaces should be tested first, and any unstable coating should be removed.
- Concrete floors may need shot blasting or acid etching to remove dust and laitance
- Concrete, wood, tarmac and asphalt should be primed with a thinned first coat using clean water
- Metal should be properly cleaned and primed with Coo-Var All Metals Primer
- Wood floors should be lightly abraded and any knots sealed before the first coat
